Latin American Biodiversity Alliance

“Alianza Biodiversidad” is an alliance of civil society organisations and farmer’s movements in Latin America that has as its focus the struggle for peasant-based food sovereignty and agroecology, and against the expansion of the industrial food systems in the region. The Alianza carries out research, communication, capacity building and advocacy activities in Latin America through its member organizations in the region and in collaboration with others. Its current membership is made up of 11 organizations including seven national and two international NGOs, and two regionally based peasant organizations and campaigns with membership in most countries in the region.
