With regards to the current protests and social unrest in Ecuador, Swift Foundation informs that false and ill-intentioned postings accusing our Foundation as financiers of the indigenous mobilizations are circulating on social networks. Swift Foundation has not financed, nor does it finance social or political mobilizations in Ecuador or anywhere in the globe.

Swift Foundation supports civil society and Indigenous peoples’ organizations in Ecuador with grants from our private endowed fund. Our work in Ecuador is part of a global effort which supports civil society and destitute and marginalized peoples in strengthening their food, biodiversity and cultural systems that creates social and economic sustainability and resilience to climate change.
